Book Review: Having the Frenchman's Baby

Image
Having the Frenchman’s Baby (The Brides of Bella Lucia) by Rebecca Winters HR 3904 Aug 06 I enjoyed reading this book set in the vineyards of France. It’s the story of a woman who’s been busy with her career while waiting for the perfect man. And, it’s the story of a man who uses everything in his power to try to assuage his guilt. When these 2 people meet, they see themselves and their lives as if a curtain has been opened. Rachel Valentine is a wine buyer for the exclusive Bella Lucia restaurants in London. She has an estranged twin in the US, a dying grandfather in England, and a father she can’t please. Her family is bogged down in strife. But, even with all this going on, Rachel looks the picture of perfection. When she reaches the province of Alsace with its terraced vineyards, Rachel feels like she’s come home. Add to that her physical reaction to...

Almost penniless, she moved her young family to her only possession of worth – a small house on an acreage outside of Dry Creek, Montana. Barely any furniture and no job, Jenny has a tough time providing what they need but they have a roof over their heads and lots of love. Unfortunately there isn’t any money for a Christmas tree or decorations or even for the items on their Santa’s wish list but she’ll hope they’ll understand, young as they are. They won’t be spending Christmas alone, however. Rodeo champion Zach Lightning drives through town 2...

Dawn breaks at 6:22 am Sep 19th, 2012 at the DFW airport in Dallas, TX.   Looking toward Dallas from my 8th floor room in the DFW Hyatt Regency.   Using the 700mm zoom on my Nikon Coolpix P500 camera, brings the Dallas skyline closer.   Anita Mae Draper standing in front of the Love & War in Texas restaurant in Grapevine, Texas, Sept 21, ...
