Let's Have a Photo Day

I had such positive response to my 'fog photos' and the other scenic ones I've posted that I'm thinking of using one day a week as a Photo Day and just posting some pics of what's happening here around the farm.

I noticed that Cheryl St John does the same thing over on her blog at http://cherylstjohn.blogspot.com/ and I don't want to look like I'm copying her, but I don't know exactly where the idea came from either. And, I am visiting her blog quite often. Cheryl is a fantastic photographer and some of her pics simply amaze me with her talent.

If you go look at hers, don't think you'll find the same calibre here, but at least my pics will give everyone an idea if I'm snowed under or flooded over, you know?

What do you think? Would you mind looking at pics while I write in the background?

    Anita;

    I would certainly look at your pics. Would compare my snow covered yard to yours. The spring equanox is coming apon us - none too soon although the New Brunswick EMO office is already talking to people about preparations for flood season. Oh the joys of living in Canada!

    This is too funny, Linda. Here I thought some of my efriends from the US, Aust, and the UK would like to see life here on the prairies and my first response is another Canuk! That's precious.

    Thank you for letting me know. I hope I get more affirmatives 'cause I really like photography and I've got 5000 pics logged into my computer. Yowza!

    i think the picture thing is a great idea... plus you get an extra day to hone your craft.

    maybe some weeks you can have "guest" pix from your Prarie Chick buddies or readers.

    Hey Deb - I wasn't sure which day to pick but because I blog as a Prairie Chick on Thurs and pretty much stay home, that's a good day to get a photo essay together.

    I have to honestly say, however that I'm not crazy about the idea of putting other people's pics on my blog. I mean, its the only thing that's virtually mine, you know? :)

    Deb - you didn't think that because you're too nice.

    Actually, I started the blog to showcase my writing and my photos and want it to stay true in that respect.

    Having said that, I would love to post the pic you took of your wedding cake topper since I'm a firm believer of showcasing artistic talent when it involves romance. In this case, the photo is just the vehicle to promote the art inside.

    As a matter of fact, if you or I ever win the Writer's Challenge again, we should use that pic as the prompt for the next one. What do you think?

    hmmm, that would be pretty nifty. i've long thought that one of the challenges should be based off a photo or picture.

Prairie Wildlife Photos

These days, I'm busy working on the final draft of my historical romance, Emma's Outlaw , so I thought I'd give you some photos to check out. They are all of prairie wildlife in my area. Do you remember the afternoon JJ and I sat in the van on the empty dirt road with the suspicious looking dynamite box and waited for the Mountie? Well, these cowbirds kept us company.
