Cheryl St Johns Christmas Tree Tour

I am so honoured to have my Christmas tree and 50 yr old stocking (yikes!) featured on Cheryl St. John's blog today at http://cherylstjohn.blogspot.com/

One of my favourite historical and contemporary authors, Cheryl has 35 Harlequin and Silhoutte books published so far. She can often be found at www.petticoatsandpistols.com otherwise known as the Wildflower Junction.

You can check the most recent topic for both these blogs on my list at right.

I just love Christmas. Don't you?

Book Review: Having the Frenchman's Baby

Image
Having the Frenchman’s Baby (The Brides of Bella Lucia) by Rebecca Winters HR 3904 Aug 06 I enjoyed reading this book set in the vineyards of France. It’s the story of a woman who’s been busy with her career while waiting for the perfect man. And, it’s the story of a man who uses everything in his power to try to assuage his guilt. When these 2 people meet, they see themselves and their lives as if a curtain has been opened. Rachel Valentine is a wine buyer for the exclusive Bella Lucia restaurants in London. She has an estranged twin in the US, a dying grandfather in England, and a father she can’t please. Her family is bogged down in strife. Add to that, the guilt she feels because she couldn’t make it back to the States in time to say a final farewell to her dying mother. But, even with all this going on, Rachel looks the picture of perfection. When she reaches the province of Alsace with its terraced vineyards, Rachel feels like she’s come home. Add to that her physical reaction to...

Snowbound in Dry Creek by Janet Tronstad Love Inspired #465 Oct 08 This is an excellent read. It’s the 3rd book I’ve read this year and already the 2nd one to go to my Top Ten list – and the year just started! It’s also the 2nd book in a row to hit the top ten by the same author. I’ve read over a dozen of this author’s books and these last 2 seem to portray an emotional level above any of her earlier works. Jenny Collins is a widow with 2 kids. Almost penniless, she moved her young family to her only possession of worth – a small house on an acreage outside of Dry Creek, Montana. Barely any furniture and no job, Jenny has a tough time providing what they need but they have a roof over their heads and lots of love. Unfortunately there isn’t any money for a Christmas tree or decorations or even for the items on their Santa’s wish list but she’ll hope they’ll understand, young as they are. They won’t be spending Christmas alone, however. Rodeo champion Zach Lightning drives through town 2...
