Prairie Chicks - Retreat Aftermath

You know, I loved going on the writing retreat last week and I'd like to go next year, but if you want to know what it was like when I got home after being away, check out my post at Prairie Chicks Write Romance.

The mail 'Rules' feature I'm talking about is one of those things I've seen in Outlook, but didn't have time to check out. I mean, who wants to read up on rules, eh? Really.

Anyway, on top of all the stuff I need to do before my daughter's graduation this Sat, now I have homework. It's okay though, even as a kid, I liked homework. :)

    Total nerd here. Love homework. Read textbooks and the dictionary and encyclopedias for fun.

    I actually like homework too. I like boundaries and lists. So sad.

    Liking homework and school is not nerdy... is it? I never thought of myself as a nerd. :)

    It looks like I'm in very good company if you like homework, too. And lists.

    I like boundaries, too because I know where I stand then.

These days, I'm busy working on the final draft of my historical romance, Emma's Outlaw , so I thought I'd give you some photos to check out. They are all of prairie wildlife in my area. Do you remember the afternoon JJ and I sat in the van on the empty dirt road with the suspicious looking dynamite box and waited for the Mountie? Well, these cowbirds kept us company. I had this photo in mind and just needed to wait for the cowbird to take flight. I waited. And, I waited. Then, I almost missed it because my arm was getting tired holding the camera in position and the bird decided to take off at the same moment I lowered the camera.
